What is Nephrology? What do Nephrologists do?
Nephrology is the study and treatment of the kidney and the various disorders that affect it. Our board-certified nephrologists help patients manage their kidney health through treatment, lifestyle improvements, and, when necessary, procedures.
Are you accepting new patients?

To make your first visit easier, please print and fill out our First Time Patient Packet. Make sure to bring the packet, your most recent insurance card, and your co-pay (if applicable) with you.
Do I need a referral from a primary physician to see a nephrologist?
It largely depends on the type of insurance. Many insurances do not require a referral however some do. Please call our office to discuss with us if a referral is required and if you do not need a referral, we would be happy to set up a visit with one of our nephrologists as soon as possible.

Please bring your insurance card, a photo ID card such as a Driver License, and either your medication bottles or an updated list of your current medications with dosages.
Does kidney disease mean I need dialysis?
Most patients who have kidney disease do not ever require dialysis or progress to needing dialysis. There are about 37 million people with chronic kidney disease in the USA and only about 800,000 people require dialysis. It is important if you have kidney disease to see a nephrologist who can work to slow the progression of your kidney disease.
