Proteinuria

Proteinuria is protein in the urine which can be checked on urine tests. There are many causes of protein in the urine, with the most common cause being Diabetic Kidney Disease. Glomerular Disease can also cause proteinuria, and there are many medications which can decrease proteinuria which helps protect the kidney from further progression and damage.  Please refer to the Glomerular Disease and Diabetic Kidney Disease sections for more information.
